The next 8 photos were submitted by Valerie Meare. âMy Mum's name was Czeslawa (Cesia) Chalupa and my cousin's name was Wanda Swica. They arrived in Pahlevi on 1st April 1942. My mother was 22 years old and Wanda was 17. 5/2/1942 Polish Army Centre, Reserve Depot. And 29/09/1943 Teheran, Iran, Guard Company (Administration). I believe my mother's duties were mainly clerical when she was in Palestine, but she also worked in the canteens and also in a shop. Later in the RAF, England. She later married Tadeusz Wrobel.â 1.
